Jennifer Trombley, R.N., M.S.N., C.C.R.C.

Jennifer Trombley RN MSN MSTOM CCRC received her nursing diploma from the Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing in Buffalo, New York. She went on to complete her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Nursing degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo and the University of Texas at Arlington, respectively.

Jennifer has over forty years of acute care nursing experience, specializing in critical care and emergency medicine. She has also worked in the medical device industry, both in applications and research and continues to consult on research projects with medical device companies.

For the past thirteen years, Ms. Trombley has been a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Retinal/Vascular areas. She also is involved in translational research, bridging the realms of Dr. Martin Friedlander’s Cell Biology laboratory at The Scripps Research Institute and the patients of Scripps Clinic. The recent areas of study have been Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Edema, Atrophic and Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Macular Telangiectasia, and Stem Cell Therapy for Visual Disorders. Ms. Trombley has served on the Board of the Scripps Institutional Review Board since 2005 and on the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine Institutional Review Board since 2009. She has served as Treasurer and President of the San Diego, CA chapter of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and has maintained certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator for over ten consecutive years.

She has joined the Lowy Medical Research Institute, La Jolla as a Clinical Research Nurse and Clinical Project Director.
